INVITED to be a part of an interdisciplinary team of architects, landscape architects, urban designers and planners, the project involved participating in a number of week-long design charettes held as a means of developing a conceptual plan for a sustainable community amidst the mountains of Lantzville, B.C. north of Nanaimo.
The tasks involved in this project were varied – ranging from the development of house types, urban design development and graphic development. The overall concept grew from an intimate knowledge of the land and ecological process and was developed with the close relation with the clients.
